Two German car tuner companies, Unique Sportscar and Novitec Rosso, have teamed with artist Knud Tiroch to create a Ferrari F430 that now sports unique tattoo-like skull and ornate artwork, as well as injecting it with a whopping 520kW (707HP) and 712Nm of torque.

The finished product is known as the ‘Calavera’, which, fittingly, means ‘Skull’ in the Spanish tongue.

The creative minds at Unique Sportcars describe their creation as the "mother of future design implementations," and there’ll only be eleven in existence.

The Ferrari’s bone-tingling power surges from its Novitec Rosso twin-supercharged 4.3 litre V8 engine, that shoots it from zero  to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds, enabling it to reach 200km/h (124mph) in a mere 10.5 seconds.

Optional longer gear ratios give the F430 a top speed of 348km/h (216mph). That’s up from the 315km/h (195mph) it develops without them.

Novitec Rosso sport suspension is fitted to cope with the high speeds.  Better still; at the switch of a button, the front can be raised by 40 millimetres to pass over driveway entries and speed bumps.

Once the car reaches a speed of 80km/h, the suspension automatically lowers itself back to normal position, about 35 millimetres lower than the production car.

The ‘Calavera’ rides on three-piece Novitec Rosso NF3 double-spoke 20-inch wheels, shoed with high-performance Pirelli tires.

Other unique elements include embroidered seats, and an extended middle-console and dash with artwork, LED daytime running lights and an engine dress-up kit.

The tattoo-like airbrushing is courtesy of renowned artist Knud Tiroch, who has been commissioned to create artwork for David Coulthard, ZZ Top, Arnold Schwarzenegger and a host of others.

Is this related to that awfully riced-up Lambo from a few months ago? Seriously, are these bizarre attempts to relive 8 year old boy fantasies?
