The bids are in for the pending sale of Land Rover (and Jaguar) but its business as usual, with the folks at Land Rover releasing an image of the coupe style crossover they are planning to unveil at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
Designed to fill the gap between the current Freelander and Range Rover, Land Rover are heralding the new model as their "new direction".
“This is a statement of intent about a new direction that Land Rover wants to go in, about sportiness and low C02," said Phil Popham, Managing Director at Land Rover
The new model has is being designed by Gerry McGovern, the man behind the first generation Freelander and MGF. So far its looking good. Lets hope Gerry doesn’t introduce any last minute first generation Freelander styling cues...
