It was rumour last month, but now it’s official: the R35 Nissan GT-R has logged a new personal best at the Nurburgring Nordschliefe of seven minutes, twenty-six seconds and seven-hundred milliseconds.
That is all, you can go back inside now.

Has anyone gone over to Porsche’s pram and picked the toys up off the floor yet?
Porsche should have pretended the GT-R wasn’t there, the situation can’t be any worse than it is now, not only is the GT-R faster than all their cars, but now Porsche must face the embarassment that their credibility has taken a knock. GT-R and 911 are cars of different look and character. A Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera or LP560-4 is no quicker than a GT-R, neither is a Ferrari F430 Scuderia, yet they seemed completely unconcerned (publicly at least) as to what the 911 GT2 is capable of or the GT-R for that matter. People buy a Lambo/Ferrari for more reasons than just Lap records at the ‘Ring’. Porsche should accept the GT-R is king of the ring and that their cars offer a different experience than the GT-R.
max str your comments are very funny , let us see if their production car beats the real production porsche i dont think so this was just another French jerk off , can i beat the germans, some how what ever means . As i said lets see them on a race track & in race terms no doubt the car is fast but i doubt it will beat a 911 Gt3 that is a non turbo 3.6 ltr
