GM’s upcoming Corvette ZR-1 will be the most powerful production Vette that GM have ever built. Featuring the 6.2-litre supercharged LS9 small-block that we showed you last week this is the car that GM hopes will take the fight to the exotic supercar brigade, oh and of course Nissan’s new GT-R that will go on sale in the US next year.

The following in cabin video takes you on a lap of California’s Laguna Seca raceway in the new ZR-1 and its fair to say that it is making all of the right noises (including some supercharger whine) and appears to handle the twisty stuff with a lot of confidence.
