If Audi’s great new video of a blazing orange 2009 Audi R8 cruising through the Italian city of Maranello is anything to go by, it would seem the fiercely loyal citizens are Maranellan to the point of xenophobic.

You see, Maranello is the home of Ferrari, and while the residents might normally be friendly and cheerful sorts – at least so far as Audi’s advertisement would have us believe – it seems they turn into enraged monsters at the sight of an enemy marching through town.

And when you’re a Ferrari loyalist, who wouldn’t react bitterly to the sight of the new German supercar in the legendary brand’s hometown?
