Whats red and black has 500kW+ and weighs 165kgs less than a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640…? I’m glad you asked. It’s the Lamborghini Murcielago Superleggera (super-lightweight) of course…what else?

Thanks to the folks at The German Car Blog we can now get a better look at the new svelte and feather-weight Lambo.

Still looks like a big fatty...a beautiful big fatty

Seen here undergoing final testing at the Nurburgring the Murc Superleggera uses high-tech light-weight materials to carve 165 kilograms from the 1665kg kerb-weight of the ‘standard’ porker LP640.

Its fair to assume that all of the 'black bits' are lightweight carbon-fibre (or a similar light-weight material) panels helping to reduce the weight by 165kgs

Expect the anorexic Murc to top 350km/h and to be even more insanely quick than the LP640 already is. Pricing is not known at this stage nor is availability in Australia.

And there you were thinking that todays biggest news was Global Warming.
