2009 Nissan 370Z Australian Pricing Announced

2009 Nissan 370Z Z34

Nissan has officially launched the highly-anticipated Z34 370Z in Australia, and in the process revealed pricing for the delectably-styled coupe.

While available in a number of different spec levels overseas, the 370Z will be sold in just two flavours ‘Downunder’: manual, or automatic.

That’s not a bad thing though, for despite being offered in just one trim level the Aussie 370Z packs a huge amount of kit into its curvaceous bod. There’s that 245kW 3.7 litre V6, for one, as well as a viscous limited-slip differential, four-piston Akebono brake discs, satellite navigation, leather interior, power seats, Bose stereo and the fancy-pants SynchroRev Match system for manual-equipped models. All standard.

The only things we miss out on are the tasty 19-inch forged Rays alloys that are available on the top-line models in the USA and Japan, but with the 370Z retailing at $67,990 for the manual and $70,990 for the automatic (less than the outgoing 350Z Track), it’s a damn good deal as it stands.

TMR’s own Tim O’Brien is currently out hammering a 370Z through the South Australian hills, so be sure to come back soon and check out his First Drive report. It should be a cracker.

They should have left out sat nav and saved a grand in the process.

$68k?!?!?!?!

Dayum…

Rip Off…again.

For $68k, it would want to not only have Nav, but there should be a feature that comes out from under the seat and gives you a blowjob as you drive.

I think i’ll stay here in the states and get a one or two year old 350Z for around $20k.

Yeah about 8 to 10k too much. Certainly doesn’t need the Blose sound system, that could be a 2K saving right there!

I’m going to get a V26 import instead for 45K in a year.

This is just madness. Why do ockers put up with is madness? That car goes for under 40 in the US. Like, 32k USD, or something.

I just don’t understand why people here put up with the import cartels just ripping them off.

The Maxima has the same engine and is bigger — why does it cost HALF?

It’s not just the taxes and such. Look at how much more the base prices are cranked up.

BMW’s cost ****300%**** more here. WTF???
