Nobody can truly escape the inbuilt human passion for beautiful cars – not even those who’ve dedicated their lives to the relentless pursuit of victory on two wheels. This would seem to be true for MotoGP champion Casey Stoner.

This video shows the young Aussie motorbike racing champ thrashing the beautiful Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, which has already sold out of its 84 unit allocation in the US.

Before you say it, yes: it was a crime to remove the sound of the 8C from the video, but the accompanying jazz track is at least enjoyable – not that it’s any consolation.
