Sara Watson, an art student at the University of Lancashire in the UK, has doomed us all. Having devised a way to turn a Skoda Fabia invisible, it’s only a matter of time until the Klingons discover her creation and invade Earth to steal the technology.

Wait, wait, I’m being told it is in fact just paint. Well played, Ms Watson.

Painted to blend into the car park and entrance to her art studio, Watson’s creation works only when viewed from just the right angle – so while it might not be the ideal invisibility cloak in real life, it’s a great trick.
