Cop This: Chevy Camaro Police Car Upholds The Law, Looks Totally Badass

Chevrolet Camaro Police Car rendering

While recent rumblings suggest Pontiac’s now-orphaned G8 could return to US shores as a Chevy-badged police car, these renderings show that the G8’s two-door cousin the Chevrolet Camaro would make an even cooler cruiser.

Of course, these third-party renderings are entirely speculative and there’s no suggestion from GM that the Camaro will see service with law enforcement agencies. However, we reckon an entire generation of kids would be clamouring to become police officers if there was.

Where will the police put the perp ? In the trunk?

stupid

@Tony

You’ve never heard of Pursuit Vehicles? Used in High Speed Chases, and when someone needs to get somewhere fast. They’re not made to apprehend suspects, just catch them. Hence why they put “SpeedUnit” on the car.

Andy,

This is why the U.S police are a joke. They need way too many resources to do their job. Having so many special purpose vehicles wastes way too much money.

Anyway, if you need to get the police somewhere fast, use a motorcycle. Half the price and faster. A motorcycle can’t ram a car but if you are doing that you have lost the plot anyway.

The only rationale for buying a two door coupe for the police is to attract foolish / redneck teenage boys into the force.

stupid

i dont care if its efficient or not lol thats one bad ass cop car!

Yea the us needs so much more resources. How about the 166,000 dollars spent on the lambo in another country? Oh and how about the 700 hp v12 twin turbo in another.

well its emense like the british police jag xf it’ll make robbers run to the hills but the headlights & tailights are awseome

Really.. people …if ur gonna diss then why come to this site and why uhhh are you lookin????

if you will going to the police? let you know in the trunk? very stupid!!

This is meant for highway patrol purposes - to catch up to speeding motorists. Full size, heavy sedans are not always appropriate for high speed pursuits. They are also used for undercover operations. My state even has a few Corvettes that they use for similar purposes.

Instead of making brash, sweeping judgements, do some research.
