The BMW X1 Concept unveiled last year.

While images and video of the 2010 BMW X1 Concept were revealed late last year, a shot of the CUV completely unmasked has now surfaced online, at BMWBlog.

BMW’s X1 was recently snapped in the buff while shooting a commercial in Cologne, Germany. The first thing we noticed is that it looks exactly like the concept version, at least from the front.

Only the one spy photo has surfaced so far, but given the virtually identical styling, the rear end will likely remain unchanged.

Reportedly, the engine line-up is now locked in and will include four- and six-cylinder engines, offered in petrol and diesel form. Don’t be surprised to find a turbo in the mix as well.

The 2010 BMW X1 will be targeted to younger buyers (you’d reckon) looking for a capable commuter as well as a vehicle that can gobble up things like snowboards, surfboards and mountain bikes.

Official photos are expected in June, with the unveiling to take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
