We often ask ourselves, what better way to silence rambunctious kids in the back than by crushing them into the seats with a massive wave of torque on your way to over 300km/h? Sure, we ask weird questions, what's it to ya?

If you like the idea of combining supercar performance (try 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds and a top speed over 300km/h) with the ability to carry a family and the groceries in comfort, then Gemballa's Tornado 750 GTS may be just what you're after.

Based on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, the Gemballa offering is a Tornado both by name and by nature with a stonking 560kW (750hp) on tap from the force-fed 5.0 litre V8 - yep, that's up from 4.8 litres in the standard Cayenne Turbo.

To achieve the manic power figure, Gemballa fitted forged pistons, upgraded connecting rods, superior turbos, a new intercooler, and remapped the factory ECU.

Throw in the increased displacement and the twin-turbo V8 churns out peak power of 750hp at 6,400rpm and maximum torque of 1,050Nm (774-lbs/ft) at 3200rpm.

Gemballa has further improved performance by shaving off 250kg (550lbs) from the Cayenne's portly kerb weight. And, as any performance enthusiasts will tell you, the benefits of weight reduction go far beyond outright acceleration.

Adjustable coilovers allow the ride height to be lowered by up to 70mm and keep the Tornado on course. 22 inch light-weight alloy wheels are shod in massive 335/25 performance rubber - A Must when you have this much torque under foot – tasked with maintaining some form of traction.

Braking is equally impressive with six and four piston calipers clamping 420mm and 380mm rotors front and back respectively.

Extensive work has been performed on the exterior, but if we have to point that out for you then you might need to get your eyes checked (if they ever make a Tango & Cash sequel, this thing is one Gatling gun away from the job).

Likewise, the cabin gets a full going over, with new materials and a redesigned centre console featuring prominently.

Only 50 Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS' will be built, with a cool AUD $730,000 (€400,000) required to drive one home. For the majority of us, the gallery images will just have to suffice.
