Official design sketches of Skoda's upcoming Fabia Scout Hatchback have hit the web thanks to the European trademark office.
Not to be confused with the Fabia Scout Estate - we did a double take ourselves - the Scout Hatchback is expected to debut this year.
As with the Fabia Scout Estate, it's more about looks than real off-road capability, with the hatchback retaining its front-wheel-drive layout.
Engine options should be similar if not identical to the standard hatchback, so expect to see a 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre petrol four cylinder and a 1.4 litre TDI and 1.9 litre TDI.
Power for these engines is rated at 63kW (85hp) and 77kW (105hp) for the petrol engines and 59kW (80bhp) and 77kW (105bhp) for the oil burners.
Expect official images closer to the unveiling, but for now take a look through the design sketches in the gallery below.
