Admit it: big, super-powerful luxury limos turn you on. You know it, I know it and Mercedes-Benz knows it.

The latter is on the verge of debuting its arousal-inducing S63 AMG and S65 AMG uber-limos at next week’s Shanghai auto show, but thankfully, Mercedes’ own German-language site has jumped the gun and kindly revealed both cars ahead of schedule

With the cars’ technical specifications expected to remain more-or-less identical to the previous models, aesthetics were the biggest unknown until now.

There’s more LED lighting inside and out than you can poke a stick at, as well as the obligatory increase in rim and grille sizes. The front and rear bumpers have also been updated, with the rear scoring a snazzy diffuser-esque device and the front nixing the old model’s fussy venting.

Inside the cabin there are acres of piano-black and leather trim, brushed alloy accents, power everything, and the usual array of AMG gadgetry.The diamond-quilted leather is a nice touch too, and a carry-over from the current model.

If power figures remain unchanged then the S63 will come packing 386kW (518hp) from its 6.2 litre V8 engine, while the S65’s twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre V12 will pump out 450kW (604hp) and an impressive 1,000Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.

A seven-speed automatic transmission will be fitted to the S63 while the S65 will make do with a five-speed auto - necessary to handle the immense torque from the blown V12.
