Kia’s attractive 2010 Sorento is nearly among us, and now, thanks to our good pal Mr Burlapp, we can scope out its freshened-up interior.

We’ve seen shots of the new Sorento’s cabin before, but these new images give us our first glimpse at the front seats, back seats, door panels and the entire dashboard. Unlike the previous car we saw, this one eschews the sat-nav screen in favour of a integrated CD/tuner.

Compared to previous Kias, the new Sorento is definitely a few steps closer towards the posh end of town. Yep, there’s a lot of plastic but it is offset by a generous swathe of woodgrain, chrome and silver-finished details. The leather (well, we’re assuming they’re leather) seats and armrests add to the upscaley-ness too.

The instrument binnacle and centre stack are pleasingly shaped, however there’s just one small fly in this ointment: those massive hinges for the rear bench’s folding mechanism. Gawk at them in the gallery below.
