The good folks at NextAutos have got their hands on spy photos of the oft-rumoured Volkswagen Golf R20 or GTI-R (there seems to be no confirmation on which we should expect to see) during testing at the Nurburgring.
The Golf in the spy photos is badged as a TDI, but the dual pipes jutting from the centre of the rear bumper give away its true identity β unless, of course, itβs part of some devious Volkswagen plot, but we figure not.
The R20/GTI-R is expected to feature a more highly-tuned version of the 2.0 litre turbo four-cylinder found in the Golf VI GTI, making around 200kW β 15kW more than the R32 β and hitting 100km/h in just over five seconds.
