With the April 2 start date of the Seoul Motor Show mere days away, there’s already set to be a few cars worth a genuine lookover. Now, Kia is adding one more pre-production concept to the list.
Built on the Hyundai Azera platform – sold locally as the Hyundai Grandeur – the Kia VG Concept is expected to go into production this year.
Kia’s new luxury flagship – known internally as VG or KND-5 – will be powered by a number of engine options, ranging from the four-cylinder 2.4 litre ‘Theta’ engine, through to the 3.8 litre ‘Lambda’ V6 found in the Hyundai Genesis and Genesis Coupe models.
Information is thin on the ground at this point and the single image above is all that we have, but the VG Concept’s debut will happen this week, so we’ll know more soon enough.
In the mean time, we can only hope the production version doesn’t stray too far from the concept. Lately, Kia’s doing a good job on that front.

Wow, aother sexy Kia concept. With the Soul, Forte, new Sorento, Number 3, and this thing… Kia is transforming it’s entire line within 2 years. 2010 Kia will be unrecognizable side by side with 2008 Kia.
