Ever since Subaru displayed its promising concept car at the recent Detroit Auto Show, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the development of the next-gen Subaru Legacy/Liberty.
We’re not alone though. Japanese mag Carmode has also got the upcoming mid-sizer on its radar, and have pumped out these speculative renderings to illustrate how it thinks the finished product will look.
We’ll reserve our final judgement for when the real deal drops its covers later in the year (possibly at New York next month, some say), but we’ve gotta admit that these images are a step in the right direction.
The all-new design language that premiered on the Detroit show car still has a familiar flavour to it, and it certainly looks pretty butch in these pics.
The Exiga-inspired rump on the wagon isn’t quite so pleasing, but like we said: these are renderings, not the real thing. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for that one, that’s for sure.
