Aprilia describes the Shiver 750GT as a Sports Tourer, but thanks to its Ride by Wire system, riders have the ability to select from three pre-programmed setups – Sport, Touring and Rain – giving riders the best power delivery for the situation at hand.
The Sport setting delivers the full power of the Aprilia twin, while the Touring option brings a gentler power delivery to ensure the ride remains relaxed. The Rain setting cuts torque by 25 percent, ensuring the chances of spinning the rear wheel on slippery surfaces is lessened.
The Aprilia Shiver 750GT features a 70kW 90° V2 engine with four valves per cylinder, double overhead camshaft and liquid cooling. Electronic fuel injection with latest generation injectors, as well as mixed gear and chain valve timing also feature.
An aluminium swing-arm with reinforcement truss and lateral shock absorber is joined by a modular steel trellis and aluminium side plate frame for high torsional rigidity.
Radial caliper brakes up front and latest generation two-channel ABS ensure stopping comes on in good measure.
