Audi TT RS Roadster To Debut At Leipzig AMI Show

Sure, we’ve all seen the new 2009 Audi TT RS Roadster already, but unlike the hard-top version, photos are the only place we’ve seen it.

When Audi revealed the TT RS at the Geneva Motor Show, the Roadster was most noticeable not by its stunning good looks, but by its utter absence.  It turns out Audi was holding out for another event to reveal the Roadster in the flesh metal: Germany’s Leipzig AMI show.

Of course, this means that most of us will still only have seen the Audi TT RS Roadster in photos, but at least a few lucky Germans will get a good up-close look at it.  Besides, we all know what a TT convertible looks like… what’s so special about this one?

How about a 255kW (340hp) turbo-charged 2.5 litre five-cylinder with a 0-100km/h (62mph) time of about 4.7 seconds?  Alright, so it’s a bit special.
