Video: The 2009 Tata Nano Presented By Ratan Tata, Driven By AutoCar

It looks as though today is set to be remembered as the day the automotive world stood still for the 2009 Tata Nano, with a flood of information, stories and video emerging on the interwebs.

The lucky sods over at British mag AutoCar have had a spin in the Tata Nano, and despite what you might have expected, the reviewer’s response is filled with glowing praise for the little Indian revolution.

That’s not all of it though, because the good folks at Tata Motor have shared video of the launch event itself with the rest of the world.

It’s an interesting presentation, covering the history of the company and even carries a little on the kind of human endeavour that lead to similar moments in motorised transport history.

In the below videos, Ratan Tata himself presents the Tata Nano.

Awesome! An absolute dream for so many people everywhere. I wish we had people as innovative and inspired as those in India, and, I might add, as honest.
“A promise is a promise”, is what I heard about the price he had given to the people of India. If one were here in the U. S. of A. right now, I’d buy it. I teach history and yes, this is up there with what Henry Ford did for the people of America back in the 1920s with mass produciton by way of the assembly line. It’s an incredible car and I wish the best for its future. Maybe I’ll have the pleasure of owning one of these in the near future. Get them over here!

A yes the good gentleman is correct of course, so much better now to have millions of peoples being moving and travelling abouts, without having getting wet and what not from on motor cycles. So many millions nanos everybody now is happy for being. This is so much of spirit of India is proud.
