Who would have thought that Suzuki was 100 years old? Well, it is and to celebrate its100th anniversary, Suzuki Australia has released a limited edition version of its award-winning Swift.
The Swift LE is adds a number of additional features to the standard Swift, including 15 inch alloy wheels, keyless start, climate control air-conditioning, Alcantara interior trim, fog lamps, side mirror-mounted indicators, remote folding side mirrors, unique interior trim and 100th Anniversary badging.
It will be available in two exclusive new colours – Kashmir Blue and Maroon Brown.
According to Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers, the extra features on the Swift anniversary model are worth in excess of $5000.
“Pricing for the Swift Limited Edition will start at $17,490 for the five-speed manual, representing only a $1000 premium on the entry level price. The new Swift LE represents extraordinary value, and captures the essence of the Suzuki philosophy of providing quality products with outstanding value for money,” said Mr Devers.
The Swift anniversary model will go on sale on April 1, and would be available for a limited time only, with numbers restricted on the factory-built edition. An April Fool’s day prank we hear you ask…apparently not.
“In Suzuki’s 100th year of engineering excellence, the Swift 100th Anniversary Edition is sure to keep Australia’s best light car at the top of the sales charts,” Devers said.

So… it still has rear drum breaks?
Rear drums is all it needs Matt. The Swift is a very competent little car in many respects and to be honest a lot of fun to drive. It is not lacking in the brakes department.
Its been overshadowed in recent times by the likes of Fiesta and Mazda2 but still holds its head high.
IS THIS SPECIAL ONLY FOR MANUAL??? WHAT ABOUT AUTO??? HOW MUCH??

The Swift is the best value small car by so far - Fiesta has grown into an OK car but you still get more for your money with a Swift. Mazda 2 is again good (I used to own a 121, the old version of the 2) but for what you pay for an entry level Swift, you only get a 2 door in both those cars. Also the Swift is quicker - it may not have as much power but it’s obviously used well because several reviews have found the Swift to reach 100km/h in around 10 seconds as opposed to 12 and 13 by all it’s competitors - and no that is NOT the Sports Swift.
is the SE available in Qld? since there’s a different importer in Qld than for the rest of Aus

colour of preference would be white , how much extra for factory window tinting and drive away price of the 100 annervasary limited additon so i wont to know for cash how much i would be paying registed the works thanks

purchased limited edition in March 2009-no end of trouble with keyless start-followed troubleshooting in the manual,but still numerous times of not able to start-even when trying with the key-
