Chrysler Australia has announced a new Limited Edition Dodge Nitro. Limited to just 100 vehicles, Dodge has dubbed the extra value Nitro, the SX-R.

The SX-R is based on the Dodge Nitro SX, with the addition of extra features that add to the “comfort, convenience and style” (Chrysler’s words) of the Nitro.

First up there is a standard premium dark mono-tone leather interior with ‘French’ seam stitching (and the Dodge emblem embroidered into the front seats). The trick leather interior is overseen by renowned Australian upholsterer Blackman and Sons.

The Nitro SX-R is also fitted with a MyGIG infotainment system which comes standard with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, MP3, CD, DVD and USB. MyGIG allows customers to use touch screen or voice commands to control all of Nitro’s entertainment and communication technologies, and includes a 20-gigabyte hard drive where music and photos can be stored.

The exterior gets a lift with 20-inch wheels and body-coloured guards standard on the SX-R. There is also the requisite SX-R badge on the outside along with an SX-R numbered interior badge.
