It’s not official yet, but it does look as if the recent batch of 2010 Subaru Liberty / Legacy images – and these latest ones – are the all-new 2010 Subaru Liberty (known internationally as the Subaru Legacy).
No other information is available as yet, but with these images and with last week’s magazine scans, it seems unlikely that so many different images with the same body styling would surface if it wasn’t the real deal.
The 2010 Subaru Liberty is expected to feature the same 2.0 and 2.5 litre engines available now, though expect to see upgrades to power and efficiency.

A lighter alloy cylinder block will feature, and, with a longer stroke rumoured, torque levels should be increased.
As with the current Liberty, both turbo and naturally-aspirated versions are expected, with the 2.0 litre unit making around 150kW (200hp) and the turbo 2.5 litre offering around 223kW (300hp).
The 3.0 litre flat-six is likely to be dropped in favour of the more efficient four-cylinder options.

Ever since 2003 Subarus designers have completely lost the plot; first with with the Impreza then the Forester and now with the Liberty.
Not that I’m particularly worried as it just keeps making my 02 Impreza RS look better and better with every subsequent new model they release.
I honestly think that this doesn’t look that bad…
The car is really good but a better picture would make it best.
Looks awesome, cant wait to trade in my MY05 Wagon for one of these.
The grille… thing looks so awkward and out of place. They’re really taking the whole “we once built planes!!!” bit too far…
horrible front
nice bum, shame about the face.It seems that Subaru will never learn, after Tribeca, and if they put a cvt auto into it ,well…….goodby Liberty.
I own a current gen Liberty, and I have to say I won’t be replacing it with a new one if it looks like that. The face is too awkward, and a tip for Subaru. No one actually cares that you used to make aircraft. During WW2 most car manufacturers did. Consumers only care what you produce today, and whilst Fuji Heavy Industries is still active in the aeronautical industry, Subaru, the company people actually see, don’t. If I’m buying a car, then I don’t care how good your aircraft are, as I’m not buying a aircraft. And as Saab has shown for decades, good planes does not equal good cars, principally because, they have no technological overlap. So sacrificing the look of your entire range just to advertise something no one cares about, is fairly stupid.
Mitsubishi is the largest global manufacturer of lifts, yet I don’t see them styling all their cars to highlight that fact.
The front grill actually looks like it’s borrowed from the current Toyota Yaris and Corolla. I didn’t know that Lexus IS200 / Altezza styled rear lights are still going strong after that many years. It’s like Subaru can’t let go of the late nineties era at all.
Totally agree with geni
the new subaru has officail gone up market in looks to me
