While Bentley is looking to BioFuel to power its stonkingly fast Continental Supersports, the Bentley-Audi relationship may see the next Arnage powered by one of Audi’s turbo-diesel mills.

The latest news on the rumour-mill is that the British importer for Audi has inadvertently revealed that the next Arnage will offer Audi’s V12 diesel. That’s the one normally found in the German marque’s Q7 SUV and able to deliver a whopping 373kW (500hp) and 1000Nm (737lb-ft) of torque.

This isn’t the first time that rumours of a diesel Arnage have done the rounds, but given the current economic climate, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Bentley to make its luxury tanks a little more appealing from a fuel consumption perspective.

After all, even the filthy rich are hurting at the moment.
