So, is the Van Man a gun, or the Lotus Guy a dud? Maybe the answer is ‘a bit of both’, and in the Lotus steerer’s defence, he was sitting behind a slow-moving motorcyclist.  And that’s perhaps for the best, as far as Lotus Guy’s ego is concerned.

Whatever the case, the hat goes off to the fella in the van. And if the video’s comments are to be believed, the driver had a passenger and half-a-load of stock in the back when he decided to hit the ‘ring.

Of course, we’ve all seen Sabine Schmidt make a similar attack for Top Gear, albeit with a record attempt in mind and sans the passenger and load.  Nonetheless, a great effort!
