Transformers’ Bumblebee Camaro Set To Hit The Streets, For Real

General Motors may have been forced to slash its advertising budget, dropping support for the upcoming film Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen in the process, but that doesn’t mean Trans-fans are going to have to miss out entirely.

In fact, this news will probably put smiles on more than a few dials.

If the whispers around Detroit are to be believed, the General will offer a Bumblebee appearance package for the Camaro coupe, scheduled to coincide with the release of the film.

Autobot fans will be able to show their allegiance with a revised styling package incorporating the huge blacked-out front intakes and the stripe package of the big-screen star.

Sadly, the Bumblebee Camaro won’t offer the ability to turn itself into a 20 foot tall, intergalactic warrior, but that’s probably for the best: who knows if the occupants would survive…

Near enough is good enough though and you can bet plenty of people will want to get their hands on one.

If you’re interested, the line starts behind me.

unfortunately the new camaro production model doesn’t look the transformer’s version or the concept version b/c i’m assuming it had to adhere to saftey/production standards. production model looks like a standard rental car.
