Toyota has today announced the launch of the Aurion Touring Special Edition. Keen to build on the already impressive sales of its 'Big Six', Toyota has packed the Aurion with more kit and called it a Touring.

The Aurion Touring builds on the entry-level Aurion AT-X with the addition of 16-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and leather wrapped steering wheel and gear lever.

It also features front and rear parking sonars, a six-disc CD changer, Optitron instruments, a multi-information dashboard display including trip computer and dual zone automatic air-conditioning.

All grades of Aurion are fitted with a six-speed automatic sequential gearbox and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) as standard.

The Toyota Aurion Touring’s mechanicals remain unchanged which means you get Toyota's advanced 3.5 litre Quad Cam V6 (Euro IV compliant) developing 200kW of power at 6200rpm and 336Nm of torque at 4700rpm on regular unleaded petrol. The fuel efficiency is quite respectable for a car of this size with the Aurion returning a claimed 9.9 litres per 100km.

The Toyota Aurion Touring SE has a recommended retail price of $34,990*.

*Recommended retail price, unless otherwise stated, excludes dealer delivery and statutory charges
