While the above image is merely a concept rendering with no official ties to Hyundai, our friends at Autoblog have gotten their hands on what appear to be spy photos of the genuine article out in cold-weather testing.
The Sonata is next in line for a complete redesign, and if the spy photos and the concept above are anything to go by – and they do appear to be similar – it’s sure to be one of the better looking large sedans on the road.
The requisite camouflage obscures any of the finer details, however we can at least see that the coupe-like roofline, steep bonnet and high rear deck are set to give the all-new Sonata – codenamed YF – a look more than classy enough to compete with others in the large sedan class.

It also looks like the Merc CL and Lexus ES 350. The rendering is a chop of the Genesis Sedan but will contain many of next Sonata’s elements. The site YF Love Net had a rendering of the next Sonata at the head of the page. It’s still there, but obscured now. Also see http://www.carspyshots.net/showthread.php?t=15461&page=13. I believe this Mazda 6 look alike could be the 2010 Sonata. The guy who runs the YF Love site probably has or had some connection to Hyundai R&D.
