Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) is set to take on Bathurst in a big way in 2007 with a convoy of five white commemorative HSV ClubSport R8s descending on the town next week - and as you can see from the pictures the folks on the mountain are unlikely to miss them.

Specially designed 20th Anniversary livery has been commissioned by HSV for the R8s which are destined to attract plenty of attention on the 800km trip from Melbourne to Bathurst as well as on the mountain over the Supercheap Bathurst 1000 weekend.

The ClubSport R8s will also be a part of the V8 drivers parade prior to the big race, as well as participating in CAMS ‘hot lap’ events.

After the Bathurst weekend, the cars will be driven to Sydney for the Australian International Motorshow which begins on October 11. It was 20 years ago that Tom Walkinshaw and John Crennan unveiled the very first Holden Special Vehicle, the VL Walkinshaw at Sydney's Motorshow in 1987.

The big question on everyone’s lips is what do HSV have planned for the Motor Show? The HSV website countdown clock is still ticking away to the biggest event in HSV's history and we are non-the-wiser…
