Gawd Blimey: Fifth Gear Tests The 2009 Focus RS

While the Top Gear lads have been busy thinking up new Stig introductions, Fifth Gear has managed to get a bum on a seat in the 2009 Focus RS - Jason Plato's in fact.

Fifth Gear claims that this is the first TV drive of the Focus RS.

Has Ford managed to pump 224kW (300hp) and 440Nm through the front wheels of a Focus...and get away with it?

    Love one of them! Good work Ford. 270kmh top whack, under 6s to 100kmh, great torque. Now, can we have it here in Australia?

    Im a gm man...I have driven the XR5 which is a fantastic car sounds great too. If I had the cash I would consider a RS...also it flutters and its stock!

    Also good to see Ford has put some thought behind reducing torque steer...unlike Opel/Vauxhall with the Astra VXR
