Audi RS6 Avant coming to Australia

Aussies will get more then their share of German engineered horsepower when the Audi RS6 Avant lands down under in July of 2008.

The impeccable RS6 develops 426kw at 6500rpm and 650nm of torque, all of which is available at 1500rpm from its twin turbo V10. This enables the RS6 to launch from 0 - 100km/h in 4.6 seconds. A pure race bred ‘dry sump’ system ensures an enthused driver can throw the RS6 into corners at up to 1.2 G in lateral force without starving the engine and turbo compressors of vital oil lubrication.

The subtle styling of the Audi RS6 allows it to go about its business without creating excess attention. However all that is forgotten when the throttle is opened and the sound of 570hp is echoed throughout the streets. Something I look forward to hearing, and lets face it, the RS6 would look great with a couple of surfboards on the roof parked up at Bells Beach. Audi is yet to announce its pricing for the RS6 Avant for the Australian market.
