Honda Civic Mugen RR a sellout success

Mugen is to Honda, as HSV is to Holden, or AMG is to Mercedes. Mugen have recently been hard at work creating 300 fine examples of their Honda Civic Mugen RR based on the Japanese Civic Type R sedan.

Engineered to be the best FF (front engine front wheel drive) car in the business Mugen have shaved 10kg off the RR’s kerb weight and increased output by 11kW/15hp. As a result the Civic Mugen RR weighs in at 1239 kg and puts out 180kW/241hp at a sweet sounding 8000rpm.

Anyone who has ever driven a Honda emblazoned with the famous R badge knows that the numbers on paper never reflect the all round exceptional performance these amazing cars are capable of producing. Priced at ¥4,777,500 or AUD45,500 all 300 Civic Mugen RR’s are only available in Japan and have already been sold.
