If you thought that Melbourne’s International Motor Show was just for 'grown-ups' then think again. Saturday the 7th has been pegged as Family Fun Day with family-friendly ticket pricing and special activities and events throughout the day.

Volkswagen has invited special guests The Wiggles, including perennial favourite Dorothy The Dinosaur, who will be stopping by the Volkswagen stand at 11am, 1pm and 3pm to 'meet and greet' the fans. Look for Mike hunting for autographs.

From 1pm til 4pm, Dora the Explorer will be roaming the Exhibition centre greeting young and old fans alike. No word on an appearance from Swiper the Fox but you know Dora will be on the lookout.

In addition, fairies, magicians and magic clowns will also be moving about the Show to paint faces, make balloons and generally ensure that kids are having a great time.

While the kids are being suitably entertained, mum and dad can take in the latest and greatest cars from around the world. Plus, to celebrate the show's 75th anniversary, there will be a Heritage Tribute display showcasing some of the rare stars from previous Motor Shows.

The Show kicks off on the 27th of February at 5:00pm and runs through until the 9th of March. For Saturday the 7th, $45 will get you two adult and three childrens' passes, children under five can enter free on any day of the Show.
