THE LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO LP560-4 Spyder, first revealed on Australian shores at the 2009 Melbourne International Motor Show back in February, can fairly be described as one of the most desirable soft-top supercars of the decade.
Now, to fan the flames of desire, Lamborghini has released a new gallery for its sublime Spyder.
With strong, muscular lines, the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder has the stratospheric performance of the true supercar. With a lighter transmission, a new 5.2 litre V10 engine, new suspension and revised permanent all-wheel-drive system, the LP560-4 Spyder goes from 0-100km/h in 4.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 324 km/h.
That puts it near the mighty Murcielago LP640’s 330km/h top speed, yet it does this with improved fuel consumption and an 18 percent reduction in CO2 emissions.
The LP560-4 is the latest iteration of the Gallardo, the best-selling Lamborghini of all time.
When the LP560-4 Spyder debuted in Melbourne, it shared the floor with another Lamborghini - one of the most beautiful performance cars of all time: a privately-owned and fabulously rare 1966 Lamborghini P400 Miura, which also featured in the 75th Melbourne Motor Show Historic Tribute display.
