Redline the movie opens on Friday the 13th

Fittingly, Redline the movie was released in the US this month on Friday the 13th. During the making and marketing of the film two rare and hideously expensive super-cars were wrecked. Both belonged to the film’s producer Daniel Sadek.

Porsche Carrera GT was purposely crashed during the shooting of the movie

Sadek made his money as a real estate investor and personally financed the $26 million production costs for the movie which features cars from his own collection. In addition to the wrecked cars the movie features his Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari Scaglietti and a mating pair of Mercedes SLR McLarens.

The wrecking of two exotics has turned the world spotlight onto this previously little known and budget (by Hollywood standards) movie. Was the Enzo really an accident or just a well staged publicity stunt I hear you ask…

The movie is described as an Auto-Action-Thriller and will no doubt be a must see for Exotic car fans. I hope they include an ‘In memory of’ in the credits to properly recognize the contribution made by Carrera and Enzo.

Ferrari Enzo was ‘accidentally’ crashed a few weeks ago by actor Eddie Griffin. Accident or well choreographed and highly effective marketing exercise?
