It might not be as funky as its three-door concept sibling, the Chevrolet Beat, but the Chevy Spark is definitely one of the coolest concept-to-production evolutions going around.
Maintaining most of the Beat’s funky styling cues and the Jazz-like headlights, the Spark gets an extra pair of doors at the rear, with the handle hidden nicely in the window blackout trim.
The rear sees a unique design to the tail lights, and the sharp character lines along the rear passenger doors continue down into the rear bumper bar.
Inside can be seen a stylish but regular interior (by today’s standards), though the bright blue LED-lit highlights and body-coloured panel inserts add a nice touch. A race-car-inspired gauge cluster sits behind the sporty steering wheel, continuing the Spark’s sporting pretensions.
Powered by 1.0 and 1.2 litre DOHC petrol engines, and likely a diesel option as well, the Spark will be introduced into the European market in early 2010, with other countries to follow in 2011.
The Spark will get its proper ‘in the metal’ unveiling at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, and if Holden knows what’s good for it, it’ll get the Spark onto Australian roads as soon as possible.

I really hope they didn't spend much money on this.
