With 2009 set to deliver a raft of radical changes designed to make the Formula 1 series more competitive, more entertaining and more cost-effective, Red Bull Racing has put together this brilliant animated video not only to get us all up to speed on what to expect this year, but also to introduce the team’s RB5 race car.

Narrated by steerer Sebastian Vettel, the video walks us through the rules that have shaped the changes to the cars for the 2009 season, including the addition of Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS), the reintroduction of slick tyres, and dramatic alterations to the body.

Offering a great cutaway view of the RBR car as it transforms from 2008’s RB4 into 2009’s RB5, the video lists plenty of reasons for F1 fans to keep the faith and look forward to the coming season.

Nice video with a short, sharp summary!

As always, well done Red Bull.

    Go Webber in 2009!
