TMR On Twitter

A couple of months ago, my partner asked me how it’s possible that as the biggest internet nerd she knows, I hadn’t made sure that TMR has a presence on the micro-blogging website Twitter.  The girl made a good point, and it was only my legendary slackness that ensured a good two months passed before I made it happen.

So without further adieu, I present to you TMR on Twitter.  What is it, you ask? To be honest, Twitter is one of those online things that defy description.  Twitter users can post up a short paragraph of no more than 140 letters, rambling on about this or that, and, for some reason, other people like to read about it.  I’m addicted, and I don’t even know why.

The 140-word limit helps to keep thoughts short and sweet, and a lot of people use it to talk briefly about projects they’re working on, things they’ve seen, places they’ve been, and so forth.  Even celebrities and politicians are getting in on the act – including President Obama.  Cripes.

We’ll be using Twitter primarily to announce latest news items, but as you can see, we’re also going to use it to talk about things we’re working on, upcoming road tests, small things we’ve seen around the net that might not be worth a news post, et cetera.  So if you’re a Twitterer, check it out.  If you’re not… well, I told you I’m addicted, so be careful!
