South Side Performance GTR820RR Turbo Upgrade Results

When South Side Performance (SSP) released details of its GTR820RR Turbo upgrade kit for Nissan's R35 GT-R, we were pretty excited. For good reason too; SSP has now released a dyno sheet and footage showing what the kit is capable of when combined with other minor bolt-on modifications.

With 21psi of boost dialed in and surprisingly stable air/fuel ratios throughout the run (given the fuel system is stock standard), SSP managed 480kWs and a staggering 875Nms at the treads. Remember: this kit is capable of 32psi so it's definitely not the turbos holding the R35 back on this run.

In addition to the GTR820RR turbo upgrade kit, the car shown is running SSP dump pipes, ceramic intake spacers, a hard piping kit and a HKS Exhaust.

Given the relatively limited modifications, the results are fantastic and the amount of torque on tap down low would put a smile on the face of even the most loyal Supra fans.

Be sure to check out the dyno run footage below, the torque available is evident the instant the driver puts the hammer down. We're sporting silly-arsed ear-to-ear smiles just watching it.

I have known the owner of South Side Performance for 25 years. As I write this, all of his assets in SSP and his other businesses are being repossessed. When will Kris Gagnon learn?
