Its now officially silly season for European auto manufactures as we close in on the opening day for the world’s largest motor show, the IAA in Frankfurt. What better way to create some pre-show hype then to release renderings of two limited edition Aston Martin’s that will be debuted alongside the much anticipated DBS.

To commemorate their participation in both the Le mans 24-hour and the grueling ADAC 24-hour endurance race at the Nurburgring (which Aston Martin CEO and veteran racer Dr Ulrich Bez completed with a top 25 overall finish), Aston are releasing two special edition cars, the DB9 LM (Le Mans) and V8 Vantage N400 (Nurburgring 400).

The DB9 LM is only available with an auto ‘touchtronic’ transmission, Sarthe Silver duco and black handcrafted leather interior – the LM is only available in coupe format. The good blokes in England have also fixed a unique number plaque on the dashboard to remind those on the inside that this is not your average ‘run of the mill’ Aston Martin.

The Vantage N400 sports a revised 4.3-litre V8 that puts out 300kW (400hp) and 420Nm of torque. In addition the N400 receives a ‘Sports Pack’ consisting of new lightweight diamond turned aluminum wheels and revised suspension set up. Body modifications to the Vantage consist of a slightly modified body kit, clear rear lenses and high finish grill. The N400 is available as either a coupe or roadster. Pricing and availability for these unique limited edition vehicles will be made public at Frankfurt.
