Lexus will be giving Australian motorists their first look at the stunning LF-A Roadster at the Melbourne International Motor Show next month, more than a year after it made its global debut at the Detroit Auto Show.
But while it has been around the traps for a while, we’re still keen as mustard to get our first glimpse of the LF-A “in the metal”.
In terms of design, it’s easily to most dynamic Lexus coupe to date (remember the SC430? Shudder…) and with over 360kW erupting from its sub-5.o litre V10, it promises to be as fast as it looks.
Although the concept looks pretty much street ready (indeed, a prototype recently completed the Nurburgring 24-hour enduro), the LF-A is still some distance away from hitting showroom floors.
For now though, we’re more than happy to gaze upon the LF-A Roadster’s shapely form while we wait. Lexus fans and supercar freaks can check out the LF-A - along with the IS-F and the rest of Lexus’ range - at the Melbourne International Motor Show from February 27 to March 9.

I’m not a Toyota person, but I really like this car in convertible guise.
It’s inevitably boring handling will be irrelevant since it’s a soft top that’s about looking good and going fast in a straight line.
Inevitably? Somehow i highly doubt this thing would handle anything like ‘boring’. Have a look at the nurburgring test videos.
I applaud Lexus for making this concept, however they need to take the next step and make the LF-A a production model. Current economic client or not, Lexus needs a a genuine sports car in its lineup and unfortunately the IS-F isn’t one.
Yeah although the IS-F might give us some clues as to how the LFA will handle, and feel at the helm. Just as the IS-F is apparently not as involving to drive as an M3, the LFA *probably* won’t be as involving to drive as, say, an M6, or an R35…
Awesome design though.
anyone else gettin sick of seeing these things kicked around the world without some official frickin word that it is 100% happening. and what about a price and some engine details for cryin out loud. give us somethin new!!
