We've not been able to confirm this information, so this is very much speculation at the moment, but Lamborghini is apparently working on a higher spec V12-powered Murcielago. The moniker LP670-4 SV has been coined by the source of the information who has spilled the beans on the soon-to-be-released Lambo.

A Ferrarichat forum member with the username ghost (apparently his name is Vik), reckons he's been in the car and is happy to share what's underneath. We can't imagine Lamborghini are too thrilled with this news.

According to Vik's information, the LP670-4 SV will shed around 100kgs thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre through out the body. So much so that the entire lower body is reportedly comprised of matte-black carbon fibre, with the upper portion of the body featuring a gloss black paint scheme. Sounds menacing.

An extra 22kWs will be on tap (though its unknown how this extra power is generated), which - according to the deep throat - will see the SV smash the 0-100km/h sprint in 3.2 seconds while top speed will creep to just over 340km/h. These figures will be affected by which of the two spoiler options owners choose, the larger or smaller. The smaller one will allow the higher top speed while the larger spoiler will trade speed for downforce.

A more angular front treatment and large rear protrusions are also noted, as are extra hood vents near the a-pillars and gloss-black wheels. Carbon-ceramic brakes are expected as standard with pricing quoted by Vik to be around 25 percent higher than a stock Murcielago LP640. Oh yeah, you can opt for the big 'SV' vinyl if you like too, but we'll pass on that thanks.

If all this is kosher then we can expect an announcement from Lamborghini in March. We'd hazard a guess that, if accurate, there will be plenty more information on the LP670-4 SV circulating by then. We'll keep you posted.
