For many, 2008 was an ‘Annus Horribilis’, with stock markets plummeting, credit tightening, home prices falling and folks being laid off in all manner of industries.
Nowhere was the carnage more completely obvious than in the car industry, and we’ve certainly reported more bad news than good in recent months, both at home and abroad.
Normally, we would beat our chests and welcome in a new year by regaling you with tales of our own successes as a site in 2008. Suffice to say that thanks to the hard work of our team and our dedicated and growing readership, 2008 was a very successful year for TMR - and for that, we extend our thanks to you all. In 2009 we will be firing up both turbos and if the manifold can handle it, even adding a bit of nitrous to the mix!
However, this New Years Eve, our thoughts will be with those who have found 2008 to be less than stellar, those who are ‘doing it tough’ and our hopes will be for a better year for all in 2009.
Stay safe, keep it real and be sure to give 2009 a chance to put a smile on your face.
Happy New Year!
