Reiter Engineering Unveils Gallardo GT3 Strada

Reiter Engineering has just taken the wraps off its road-legal Gallardo GT3 Strada. Reiter's  Gallardo is essentially a fully registrable version of the Gallardo GT3 race car campaigned by the factory-backed outfit.

Weight reduction is key, with the Strada featuring carbon fibre bodywork including quarter panels, side skirts, a new front bumper, and a large carbon fibre rear wing. The front fenders have been widened by 60mm to accommodate the 19-inch three-piece alloy wheels and super-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres.

Power from the 5.0 litre V10 engine is increased by 10hp thanks to a single centre-exit exhaust system. Again, the emphasis has been placed on weight reduction with the upgraded exhaust coming in at 9kgs lighter than the factory item.

It might not turn as many heads as some of the more ostentatious tuned Lamborghini Gallardos, but the GT3 Strada's clean looks and tasteful modifications means there'll always be plenty of room for one in the TMR garage should one of us suddenly win the lottery...
