New BMW M3 sold out in the UK

BMW have just released some new official images of the latest M3, and while it may not be my favourite version of the M3 (I’ll take an E46 thanks…) the new E92 V8 M3 has been selling up a storm in the UK. So much so, that the 2007 year UK allocation of 700 units is sold out.

In UK money, each car was ordered with an average of £4700 worth of options taking the average price of each car sold to £55,325 or the equivalent of $AU 134,000 which leaves plenty of scope for the good old Oz government to get a big slice of your hard earned before you take delivery of your Australian delivered M3. Expect Oz delivered M3’s to cost upwards of $165,000 – before options are added.

It is expected that 2008 will see up to 2000 M3 variants sold in the UK, as the M3 sedan and M3 hard-top convertible versions become available. All up, not a bad start for the latest Bavarian bahn-stormer.
