2009 Porsche Panamera: More Photos Surface Online

The last few days have been something of a Panamerama (you see what we did there), with the first batch of unofficial official images making their way online over the weekend, and yesterday the car was officially unveiled in all its four-door glory.

Today, another twenty or so images have made their way online, giving us a better look at what lies in store for well-to-do folks looking to haul their family and friends (at least one to four of them, each with their own suitcase) around in speed and style.

While the bulk of the images are simply more angles and more colours for what we’ve already seen, there’s also a couple of shots showing us the rear luggage space – where you’d often find an engine – and a top-down view with the doors open wide. Of course, if close-ups of headlights and tail-lights are your thing, you’ll be doubly pleased.

This whole saga has to be one of the longest April Fools pranks in history - I mean I’m not against the idea, a four door Porche sounds alright in theory, I’m picturing an elongated 911 type fastback and I’m happy, however this thing comes along which looks like the lovechild of a Tatra and a 911 who drank way too much and smoked the whole way through its pregnancy. I can’t help but think it’ll be a runaway success like the Cayenne which is a real shame… Hand me that ugly stick, looks like Porche is due for another beating. Just be thankful for cars like the Rapide and Estoque to show the world that a sparty sedan can actually be done with some finesse.

The Cayanne is fugly also but makes huge profits for Porsche.
