2010 Toyota Prius Videos Reveal… Not Much

It looks as if the images we presented a few days ago of the 2010 Toyota Prius are actually screenshots from a pair of videos. They show the next generation of the popular hybrid sitting on a rotating stage, set to the jazz/lounge track “Something’s Coming” by Leonard Bernstein in the first video, and an unnamed track in the second. No doubt The Insider can dive into his childhood to help us with that one.

About the only snippet of information these videos offer, apart from what we already know, is that the air conditioning appears to be operable from the key fob itself, allowing you to cool the car with its solar-powered climate control before you’ve even opened the door.

Other features shown in the video include the digital readouts of the central dash, and the cavernous storage space in back.

The 2010 Prius will be unveiled at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show in January.

The second video is backed by the music from “my favorite things” from The Sound Of Music, however I can’t tell you who performs that version.

Anyway the important thing about the prius is that it is still a boring yawn-fast of epic proportions, even the Prius-clone Insight looks more striking.
