Nissan's formidable R35 GT-R has chalked up yet another victory, this time taking out the Japanese Car Of The Year award for most advanced technology. This, you would think, is no easy feat in a country renowned for its technical innovation.

The executive committee charged with selecting a suitable winner had this to say on the GT-R:

"As a supercar that delivers powerful performance and clean emissions, featuring an advanced new body structure combining carbon, aluminium and steel, in addition to its impressive dual-clutch transmission and the world's first independent transaxle 4WD..."

While it appears a little may have been lost in translation, the message is clear: The GT-R is a class-leading performer in more ways than one.

The GTR is making waves in performance circles everywhere. Having spent time behind the wheel, we're enamored with it here at TMR and, as forums and comments everywhere show, we're not the only ones who feel this way. (It's almost a full time job just keeping up with news of the GT-R and its many successes.)
